WarningWhen will our oceans and seas become too toxic and polluted for humans to swim in? How will public signage be designed to alert the masses about our constantly altered environments? The body, as represented in museums, is undisturbed, respected, and carefully curated. The body will continue to live, to exist in the physical space as long as the museum stands. When the body is outside, vulnerable to natural conditions, it is affected by meteorological conditions. Representing those current outside conditions in a more formal setting by combining informal and formal graphic elements help to reframe the public warning sign with credibility. It re-contextualizes how the disposed materials we have mass produced have become the protagonist in future environmental warnings.
